October 24, 2007 -- As Central Florida's crime rates have risen over the past year and a half, much of the public's attention has focused on street crime, like muggings, shootings, and armed robberies. But in fact, most violent crimes happen far from the public eye, between intimate partners. Local agencies are now trying to reach out to victims of domestic violence before they become part of a much more drastic statistic. 90.7's Judith Smelser reports.
